The construction sector in Malaysia has been facing challenges productivity due to the increase greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This study aims enhance usage of low-carbon building materials among professionals so that carbon emission and GHG can be reduced during early stage construction. scope this research involved main parties Malaysian industry, represented by fifty including contractors, consultants, architects with a focus on materials. Procedures literature review industry followed questionnaire survey analysis using One-way Analysis Variance (ANOVA). Major findings indicated there is significant need for increasing awareness materials, as vital introduce concept sustainable development consequently cutting down emissions all working also suggested barriers adoption prevent alternative material choices means mitigating embodied Many these are common across uptake restricted lack demonstration projects, regulation, high costs, shortage skilled labor, design knowledge, time constraints, knowledge LCA. results seek overcome providing more information performance, training cost reduction projects well case studies.
